Surprisingly powerful submitted by mariekakaye on June 22, 2019, 2:19pm I took this as a mainstream, potentially boring, and lackluster film. I'm not particularly a fan of Lady Gaga or Bradley Cooper. But this film was offered for viewing on a long flight so I caved and watched it. Wow! The acting is very good, the chemistry is convincing, and the plot actually surprised me. It was incredibly heart-wrenching and tragically sad. I would definitely recommend this film for people who love romantic dramas that don't end in a sappy, predictable way. I also enjoyed the music. Well done!

Good movie! submitted by Xris on July 13, 2019, 1:16am I never saw the one with Barbra Streisand, so I don't know how it compares. But I like the love story and the music they made together. Sad that her career starts taking them apart more. And I could see the ending coming. Still good to watch.
