Expanding your lens of success submitted by ldibble on October 13, 2020, 8:22am What I love about this book, is that even though it calls out strategies that the author recognizes as valuable for students of color that she also maps it to the intellectual aspects as well as the cultural ones. We begin to see how culture and human brain patterns merge and diverge based on our environment, temperament, and the attention of significant others. The next thing that I loved about the book was the concept of success and how we all may have a different definition of what that looks like among subjects, lessons, school, and life and how those are all intertwined as well. t made me question more vigorously what are the essentials that need to be mastered to be able to thrive in the world at large.
