Don't bother submitted by poptart887 on June 14, 2019, 4:28pm Don't bother watching this film. It is just horrible. If Disney wanted to do a sequel they should have done it years ago. Before Julie Andrews had her surgery, before the actor who played Michael died, etc.
The story is basically the same just not as light hearted. The music is just ok. I am so glad that I did not pay to watch this film.

Nothing can be as good as Dick Van Dyke and Julie Andrews leaping around and singing! I really enjoyed the effort of this sequel in adapting the styles and plot twists of the original. The music is excellent and the acting is very good. It's entertaining and has an all-star cast. I'd say, in the shadow of its spectacular forefather, "Mary Poppins Returns" is a solid film.

This is a fun movie, with some good music and dance numbers. (I particularly liked The Cover is Not the Book.)

NOT AS GOOD AS THE ORIGINAL submitted by sandigra on August 12, 2019, 7:06am I read the reviews after I saw the movie. I have to agree that it didn’t come close to the original. Unfortunately nobody can follow Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke. The songs from the original were much better also. How can you top songs like, “Feed the birds”, “A spoonful of sugar”, “Chimney sweep”, etc.
