Very informative comic submitted by lawrencea on June 14, 2019, 2:45pm Lucy Knisley is so open and honest about her experiences with pregnancy and birth, and all of the difficulties that went along with that. Her chapters about reproductive history and myths are also very informative. I love the drawings and the ways she uses color, as well.

Kid Gloves submitted by elanlange on July 7, 2019, 12:52pm Lucy Knisley is a marvelous storyteller - I’ve followed her work since the Livejournal days and she just keeps getting better. Kid Gloves is a multilayered work in which she explores not only her pregnancy, but how her journey fits into her personal history and the history of reproductive medicine (at times unsurprisingly dreadful). Heart-wrenching at times even though we know there’s a happy ending, and worth the read.

Really Graphic Graphic Memoir Pregnancy & Miscarriage submitted by sdunav on June 11, 2021, 12:42pm Amazing and excellent but graphic in the omg that is disgusting (vomit, so much vomit) and horrible (eclampsia near death experience) sense of the word as well as being a graphic novel.

Loved submitted by bcartm01 on June 17, 2022, 9:34pm As a pregnant mom of one already, I really enjoyed reading this graphic novel, which was so relatable in many ways. It’s a great read also for someone who has gone through pregnancy loss and complications. So glad I found this
