Screen print. Michigan artist. Dennis and Christina Jacobs are the husband and wife team behind Arsenal Handicraft. Together these Michiganders use screenprinting and letterpress to create cards, large prints, and even clipboards. Their process is collaborative. The couple brainstorms ideas together, Dennis sketches the illustrations, Christina mixes colors, and then the ideas come to life in their home studio.

Subtle Lighting submitted by Meginator on June 10, 2023, 9:11am This print is much more impressive in person than it is in the thumbnail, with the artist’s use of color creating a kind of glow that comes through even when the room is dark. This use of darkness and light (and the contrast between cool and warm colors) adds a shade of complexity to what is otherwise a fairly straightforward image, and it has a peaceful sense of calm to it that I can’t quite explain but nonetheless find enchanting.
