A great idea but not my taste submitted by dntanzer on August 28, 2019, 11:45pm I like the idea of this book a lot but found myself less interested than I expected. There were a lot of dense sections and even some lists mid text that I felt bogged the book down.

Interesting but Narrow submitted by chowcy on August 28, 2020, 4:40pm It was really cool to learn about the history of places in Ann Arbor, but it seemed almost random what things the author chose to write about. I would have liked something a little more comprehensive and organized, instead of a listing of businesses that used to be. At times, those listings felt almost like those boring bits of the Bible... factual, but not actually interesting to read. This book definitely felt like it was written for people who have lived in Ann Arbor for a while and are nostalgic. It does less to inform those who are newer to this area.
