Engrossing and Bizarre submitted by laurenmccarthya2 on June 12, 2022, 12:48pm The cinematography is gorgeous, the acting (especially Florence Pugh) is terrific, and the story is...weird. But compelling! Give it a try, it's definitely different from typical American horror films.
Beautifully done Folk Horror submitted by ysabat on June 17, 2022, 6:30pm This film captures the tension between the modern world and the “old ways” that is a trademark of folk horror, but adds in the process of a young woman healing from trauma. The cinematography is stunning, capturing the feel of fairytale and folk art, while also capturing terrifying moments. One of the best films I’ve seen in years.
