COMMUNITY REVIEWS

A lot of repetitive info submitted by yufamily on July 19, 2020, 8:54pm Beautiful scenery of the sites he explores. The info he presents are not in-depth and seems kind of disorganized.

superficial yet interesting submitted by bec on August 26, 2020, 7:56am The basic formula: Lin arrives at an archaeological site, appreciates it, and through a glossed-over high tech 3D/LiDAR process and some lovingly-filmed hiking creates a new map to show viewers what the site once looked like. I found the show light on all details and wonder why information about the fascinating tech, as well as most meaningful historical background for the sites, was left out. Language about expedition and being the "first" to explore obscures the contributions of local people and archaeologists already working on the sites, and be prepared to see no more than one woman per episode (sometimes not even one). Some episodes are stronger than others. In general it whetted my nerd appetite but left a lot to be desired.
