This amp is awesome, but.... submitted by danherb on December 29, 2021, 12:46pm First things first, I liked this amp so much after using from AADL that I bought a used one from Reverb for practice and recording.

The "but": The amp I checked out from the AADL reeked of cigarette smoke. Be warned.

Otherwise - I love playing with these yamaha practice amps, and this one is especially great for playing with backing tracks (through the aux input) and for recording straight into a computer/daw (via usb). One can even play a backing track from a computer, into the amp, and record guitar from amp back into computer without also recording the backing track. Very handy for working with drum loops, or previously recorded elements within a daw.

It sounds like a real amp but is super quiet; it has a bunch of good clean sounds that my tube amp cannot provide. Takes pedals really well. I am not a fan of its on-board effects, but the reverb is fine.
