Despite not feeling as ready-made for radio as a lot of her other recent releases, the album still has its fair share of memorable hooks, with the lyrics delivered in softened pop-folk tones. The songs feel personal and are rich with meaning and metaphor, fitting in perfectly with the music and creating a consistent sound that flows throughout the album. This album definitely deserves the hype.
