Unique Island Evolution submitted by Meginator on August 22, 2022, 10:05am This collection of three hour-long documentaries explores biodiversity and (to a much lesser extent) human cultures on the islands of Madagascar, Borneo, and Hawai’i. The photography is beautiful, although the scope seems somewhat limited; the features on specific plants, animals, or groups of people sometimes feeling repetitive and overlong at the expense of other interesting subjects. Nonetheless, the series does offer absolutely stunning glimpses of some of the fascinating animals and plants that inhabit these islands, along with a discussion of the unique evolutionary adaptations that make them perfectly suited to these isolated environments.
