Great cooperative game! submitted by Nadili on April 19, 2021, 8:15pm We own the other two "Forbidden" games and so borrowed this to try it out - it might be our favorite of the three! Cooperative and intense, you're battling against storms, trying to keep each other from running out of water, and the board constantly shifts or gets buried in sand. A lot of fun!

Hard at first but fun at last submitted by momreset on July 14, 2022, 9:08am From a 7 year olds view…
hard to figure out at first but once you get going it’s fun. You have to work together with your family. You get special powers. You have to all get on the water well tile together. This game is harder than Forbidden Island but just as much fun when you figure it out.

Terrific Series submitted by majean on July 27, 2022, 5:35pm I love the Forbidden games, but I have yet to beat one. The key to this one is don't waste the oases!!

Challenging and fun submitted by Gillerdeer on July 21, 2023, 2:40am This is a fun cooperative game that really is quite challenging to actually win. I have a suspicion that due to the design, it gets harder to win if you play with more people, and I've at least found that I've had more success playing in a two player game than with three or four players total. The mechanics are a bit complicated until you get the hang of the game, but I absolutely love that the game board moves around with the storm. This is a very cool design and keeps you on your toes throughout the game. The main challenge in the game, as I take it, is being bold but not too bold. When we lose, it's usually because we are risk-averse and try to clear sand and/or get water before the situation is too dire, then we end up metaphorically treading water because we're not making progress on the main objective of the game (gathering the flying machine parts so we can escape). As the storm picks up, you'll pretty quickly run out of time doing this!
