Patchwork is a form of needlework that involves sewing together pieces of fabric into a larger design. In the past, it was a way to make use of leftover pieces of cloth to create clothing and quilts. Today, patchwork is a form of art, in which the designers use precious fabrics to create beautiful textiles. The use of uneven pieces of fabric in particular can result in real masterpieces and is therefore being practiced by a large number of textile artists. To create a beautiful quilt, however, requires effort and time, but the available patches just do not want to fit together. So choose your patches carefully and keep a healthy supply of buttons to not only finish your quilt, but to make it better and more beautiful than your opponent‘s.

Textile Tetris for Two submitted by rjfernandorizzo on June 10, 2022, 10:42am Deceptively challenging - or maybe I'm just no good at it. A great option for two players!

Great, quick game submitted by aafrutos on June 20, 2022, 2:48pm Simple rules yet has great depth. Fun, quick game

Great two player game submitted by russelan on June 21, 2022, 10:01pm Simple rules. Fun to piece your board together.

Not just you're average puzzle game submitted by gtaylor on July 12, 2022, 4:45pm Yes, spatial reasoning is important in this game, but it all comes down to the buttons! This is a fantastic, easy to learn game for 2 (or for 1 if you're like me, have minimal friends, and play "against" yourself for fun). I love how the game is different every time you play based on how the pieces are initially arranged.

Drafting, Money Management, and Spatial Reasoning for Two submitted by Meginator on August 27, 2022, 7:24pm It’s always nice to find games that work well with only two players, and even better to find well-designed games that are designed specifically for two players. This is primarily a spatial reasoning tile-placement game, a bit like Tetris, with some additional strategic elements pulled from card drafting and money management. It’s a very simple game to learn and easy to enjoy on a first play-through, but in the hands of experienced players the game could have quite a lot of depth.

Great Two-Player Game submitted by emjane on June 16, 2023, 5:36pm The concept of Patchwork is simple: each player is given a quilt square and needs to fill it by piecing together patches. Players take turns selecting patches (imagine cardboard Tetris pieces), collecting bonuses, and attempting to finish their quilt. Quick to learn and light to carry, Patchwork also seems like a great game to bring on a picnic! Just make sure you have plenty of room on your blanket; the box is small, but a fair amount of space is needed to spread out the patches.

Great game for two! submitted by Gillerdeer on July 11, 2023, 9:54am My partner and I have checked this game out a few times and have really enjoyed playing it. We found it very easy to learn -- we just searched YouTube for a playthrough video, watched a quick one, and jumped in. I find it very challenging (I think I've only won once), but enjoyable. You have to be able to balance the tetris-like elements (you're filling in a board with various shaped tiles with the goal of covering as many spaces as possible) with gathering buttons (the "money"/points in the game). I always focus too heavily on the tetris part and not enough on getting buttons. Don't forget the buttons!!!

Satisfying Two Player Game submitted by samuelbs on July 13, 2023, 10:26pm 2 Players. Quick and fun game. The decisions are non-trivial. Filling in the grid is very satisfying. More fun than a game about quilting has any right to be.
