Outstanding, historically accurate, portrayal of the reluctant warrior who teamed with Abraham Lincoln to save the Union.
He had difficulty with post war politics. He managed to begin Reconstruction despite heavy opposition, but his successors were unable to sustain it.
Good motion picture.
