A waste of opportunity submitted by kaymbre on July 28, 2023, 5:30am As an avid fan of the superhero genre, I had high hopes for Wonder Woman 1984, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. While Gal Gadot's portrayal of Wonder Woman remained strong and captivating, the plot seemed disjointed and lacked the depth I anticipated. The '80s backdrop had potential, but it often felt forced, leading to cheesy and over-the-top moments that didn't resonate with me. Additionally, the film's pacing was sluggish, making it challenging to stay engaged throughout. Despite some impressive action sequences, the overall execution left much to be desired, leaving me wanting more substance and cohesion in this installment of the iconic DC character's journey.
