K-Pop Dynamite submitted by Meginator on June 12, 2021, 9:39am This is another fantastic album from BTS, who incorporate EDM, rap, and pop into electrifying combinations that hit the sweet spot even if you don’t speak Korean. The skit didn’t do much for me, as I don’t speak Korean, but the songs work really well and take on a range of emotional notes. The hooks are catchy and memorable, and the rapped sections incorporate different styles from the history of rap to keep things fresh. This album would be a good place to start with BTS, as it includes the mega-hit “Dynamite” and is an excellent introduction to their energy and range.
