Two explorers embark on research journeys to remote corners of the Earth: the Himalayan mountains, the Central American rainforest, the Egyptian desert, a mysterious volcano, and the bottom of the sea. As the cards are played, the expedition routes take shape and the explorers earn points. The most daring adventurers make bets on the success of their expeditions. The explorer with the highest score after three rounds of expeditions wins. The rules of the game are simple, but beware: the lost cities hold many unseen mysteries!

good submitted by .-.-.-. on July 1, 2021, 9:57pm An enjoyable game. May seem complicated at first, but it is the opposite. Had lots of fun. Highly recommend.

An Easy Two-Player Game submitted by Meginator on July 11, 2021, 12:26pm This is a fairly straightforward variant on set collection card games that is easy to learn and fairly quick once you understand it. The theme is entirely irrelevant, though they did make an admirable effort to find something that would technically work, but the gameplay is solid and combines aspects of solitaire games with an interactive element that almost feels like card drafting. As with the best two-player games, it pays to take note of what your opponent seems to be planning, which keeps the game from becoming stale. This game doesn’t have a lot of depth, but it’s a good one to pull out when you want something relatively low-weight to occupy you for half an hour or so.

Entertaining game for two people submitted by Asdfghj on August 23, 2021, 11:15am Despite the simple rules, we found this game to be remarkably engaging. It has a nice balance of strategy and luck. After a few days, however, the novelty wore off, and it was time to move on; hence, only 4/5 stars.

Favorite submitted by russelan on June 22, 2022, 6:55pm Clean and simple. Almost always in the mood for this one.

Neatly fills the two-player niche submitted by FordAlpha on July 20, 2023, 10:02pm The rules are simple enough to learn that even my not-quite-five-year-old can play, though he "loses money" hand over fist on his "expeditions". My nine-year-old LOVES this game and often wins. It's a near-perfect fit for the two-player-anytime niche, with a quick playtime, surprisingly high replayability and a fine balance of luck and planning. There's enough strategy to be satisfying without draining your brain. Great for a weeknight after dinner.

A classic from the GOAT submitted by lrosero on August 23, 2023, 11:00pm I'm a huge fan of Reiner Knizia and this is just a stone cold masterpiece. Maybe the best, most addictive 2 player game that is ridiculously easy to teach and always leaves you wanting to play just one more time. Highest of recommendations.
