A Very Intimate Album submitted by Meginator on August 21, 2022, 6:58pm Stylistically, this album is very stripped back, so much so that it demands a close listening as the tracks have little to distinguish them from one another. A few stray lyrics and songs caught my attention from time to time, and the mellow vibes are nice and calming, but the music couldn’t hold my attention for more than a couple of minutes at a time. David Gray is a very skilled songwriter, and I’m sure that these songs have a lot to offer with time, but the album is a little too mellow and understated for my taste.
