Good, But Samey submitted by Meginator on August 20, 2022, 5:22pm This album repeats the deeply confessional style of Eilish’s debut album, but the production is surprisingly one-note, particularly given her earlier flair for the unexpected and extraordinary. The broken vocals carry the songs’ emotions beautifully, and listeners will appreciate Eilish’s ability to directly tackle some of the more difficult aspects of life in her lyrics, but the album lacks the musical and emotional variety that usually makes her such a standout in today’s crowded pop landscape.
