I just loved the emotion, pace and storyline. Thankful for the express shelf and I was able to get the book just as I was breaking 100 on the waitlist!

A long way from A Gentleman in Moscow submitted by TeacherN on June 15, 2022, 6:09pm I shouldn't compare this to Amor Towles' other books, but after reading A Gentleman in Moscow, I expect a lot. This book was enjoyable, but not great.

Another period piece by Towles submitted by kath on June 24, 2022, 12:26pm As in his other work, Towles sets the stage with great characters and sets. The storyline barely moves, yet keeps the reader interested. The plot did not go as anticipated, but was definitely interesting. A couple of characters are unnecessary, but . . in all a good read

Good Read submitted by jldetlefs on October 18, 2022, 10:52pm I enjoyed this immensely - the characters and writing are so interesting. I hope they make a movie of it. I too like Express so I didn't have to wait. It is inventive and just a great plot.
