If you view this just for the fun of it, it's OK. If you expect fairness or historical accuracy, you are so out of luck! submitted by Tassos on November 9, 2023, 10:23am I stumbled upon this series by accident. I never saw it when it was originally shown, but after Matthew Perry's untimely death, I was curious to see why "Friends" (another show I never bothered to watch) was so successful,

so I looked at the stacks and only found the fourth season DVDs, but then I saw this one, where the first season was available, and I borrowed and saw it.

I enjoyed it, and asked for seasons 2-5 as well. I am now 4 out of 10 of the 4th season.

Bottom line:

IF you just look for some interesting viewing, and could care less about Historical Accuracy,

If you don;t mind watching fairy tales that never happened as they are shown,

If you don' t mind some major characters (such as the Queen, Philip, CHarles, Diana and Maggie THatcher, to name a few) are all UNFAIRLY portrayed,

some (like the Queen and DIana) more flattering than they should be

and others (Charles, Thatcher and esp. Philip) being assassinated with lies and fairy tales,

then you should be OK.
