Lots of Comedic Characters submitted by Meginator on June 27, 2023, 11:01am This delightful puzzle is a bit more cartoonish than realistic (any cat owner, and many dog owners, will attest to the difficulty of wrangling their beloved critters into these outfits), but its exaggerated sketches and largely imaginary color palette make for an enjoyable solving experience with just the right amount of difficulty. I am, I admit, a bit confused by the choice to portray the dogs in largely realistic hues while going wild with the cats (even the blue dogs feel far more plausible than the bright pink cats), and this strange disregard meant that I liked the dog side quite a bit better and found it much easier to solve given the differences between every single dog. The cats are less easily distinguishable from one another, although the fanciful costumes do help and the final completed picture has a few nice humorous touches to it. Despite the fact that I am apparently weirdly grumpy about the cat thing, I do think it’s an excellent choice for novice solvers who love animals, especially because the difficulty level is a bit different between the two sides.
