Nice read submitted by weeksak on August 2, 2022, 12:28pm Right from the get, you fall in love with KB, the narrator. Seeing through her eyes the situation going on around her, and yet understanding more will pull at your heart at times. I found it both a relatable and interesting read. Loved that it was based in Detroit/Lansing, and was tickled when on first starting to read it having someone come up to me stating that they knew the author.

Moving submitted by 21621032124198 on January 13, 2024, 5:11pm I liked how this story was written from the perspective of 11-year-old KB, but I felt so helpless as she struggled to understand the world around her. This was a moving and difficult story with a hopeful ending.
Agree with Weeksak - I loved that the story was placed in Michigan.

Heartfelt submitted by Es Star on March 23, 2024, 11:17am Told through the eyes of a wise, thoughtful little girl, -- I enjoyed this book.
