Doctor Strange tampers with a risky forbidden spell that alters time and space and accidentally opens a gateway to the multiverse. As they travel through myriad different layers of the multiverse, they face down a new yet unsettlingly familiar adversary that they will need help to conquer.

Multiverse of Madness submitted by SBNB on June 9, 2023, 12:47pm This was a good movie, but definitely not the best Marvel movie. Be aware, though, that it would be beneficial to watch the Disney+ show WandaVision before seeing this movie. It’s ok without it (they mention the relevant details), but I would have enjoyed the movie more if I would have seen Wanda’s transformation, as this detail is central to the movie plot.

Having said that, the movie is only so-so. It has a couple, maybe three, brief shining moments. But you know when Patrick Stewart as Professor X can't save a movie that it really isn't good.

Mordo and Dr. Strange finally throw down - and it's disappointing. The music fight could have been so great, but no. Unfortunately, the movie is essential knowledge if you are following the Marvel Movie Timeline.

Oh, and seeing the "What If" series is helpful for understanding one of the scenes in this movie. But I didn't see the relevant "What If" episode and the movie didn't loose much.
