Fast paced gal pal thriller submitted by mowjac on February 4, 2023, 9:30pm I've never read this author before, but I knew immediately I was in the hands of a master. From the beginning the characters grab you and pull you into a well thought out, slightly mysterious thriller full of competent women who will do what needs to be done. Old age brings wisdom more than infirmity, friendship more than competition. A great read.

As always, the book is well written and characters are engaging. Overall I liked it, but it lacked the care-free feel of her usual mysteries.

a decent, solid book submitted by Fleabag on August 24, 2023, 10:00am i doubt that i'm the target audience for this honestly (still technically a child) but i still thoroughly enjoyed this book a lot-- the characters were fun, and it was fast paced enough to keep the plot and book going. i also really liked the flashbacks (past) chapters. however i will say that there were some times where i was a bit bored (slow parts).
still, it was a really cute and fun concept that was executed decently.

Great Read! submitted by pamhockey25 on August 26, 2023, 12:19pm For fans of the R.E.D. (retired, extremely dangerous) movies, this book will resonate with you. Four women with particular skills are celebrating their retirement on a luxury cruise when they realize that they've been set up to die. Of course, with their particular skills, they are not going down easily. Even though they are cut off from all their usual killing tools, they find many creative ways to stay a step ahead. I enjoyed this book so much! Highly recommended. I hope this either ends up as a streaming series or a movie!
