"A dual narrative, feel good mystery in which a woman, Frances, spends a lifetime trying to prevent her murder as predicted by a fortune teller at a country fair when she was just 17. When she is in fact murdered nearly 60 years later, her great niece Annie must solve the crime to avenge her great aunt's death, and in so doing uncovers the dark heart of the quaint English village of Castle Knoll, where she might just find herself in the path of the killer"-- Provided by publisher.

Interesting submitted by amgaren on July 16, 2024, 10:36am A new concept I haven't seen done before. Good read!

Not your usual mystery book submitted by emlunning on July 16, 2024, 11:33am This book is a fascinating mix of mystery, understanding people's minds, and self-discovery. It's different from the usual mystery stories because the main character gets murdered and has to figure out who did it from the afterlife. The story's idea is exciting and pulls you in immediately as Mallory looks for clues and remembers things to uncover why she was killed. It's both spooky and interesting. There's great character development; even though the main character is dead, she's a deep character with a lot of history and feelings. If you like stories about ghosts and solving mysteries, you'll enjoy this book. Kristen Perrin tells the story well, with lots of suspense, emotions, and just a hint of spooky.

Fine submitted by bethaleh on August 3, 2024, 9:38am An entertaining mystery but not my favorite. Quick summer read if you want one!
