All songs written by Billie Eilish O'Connell and Finneas Co'Connell.
Skinny -- Lunch -- Chihiro -- Birds of a feather -- Wildflower -- The greatest -- L'amour de ma vie -- The diner -- Bittersuite -- Blue.
Peformed by Billie Eilish, with accompaniment.
Billie Eilish's third studio album is her most daring body of work to date; a diverse yet cohesive collection of songs, ideally listened to in its entirety from beginning to end. It does exactly as the album title suggests; hits you hard and soft both lyrically and sonically, while bending genres and defying trends along the way. With the help of her brother and sole collaborator, Finneas, the pair wrote, recorded, and produced the album together in their hometown of Los Angeles. This album comes on the heels of her two massively successful albums "When We All Fall Asleep Where Do We Go?" and "Happier Than Ever" and works to further develop the world of Billie Eilish.
COMMUNITY REVIEWS
10/10 submitted by lzwinck on August 6, 2024, 10:27pm Beautiful harmonies, melodies and textures. Eilish brings new life to song structure. I’m thrilled to see pop music enveloping more styles of music!
Introspective & Offbeat submitted by Meginator on June 29, 2025, 10:28pm This is another introspective, offbeat offering from Billie Eilish. Falling somewhere in the cracks between radio-ready pop and pop's avant-garde outer fringes, the music shifts to fit the needs of each set of lyrics along with Eilish's vocal delivery style; at different points in the album she is vulnerable, confident, and pleading, or sometimes all three (and more) simultaneously. It's a neat trick and she pulls it off perfectly, even during the album's more obviously cloying moments. Despite the fact that much of the lyrical content revolves around romantic relationships (usually with regard to their dissolution), the themes feel at once much more personal and much more universal. Even though I'm not generally a fan of Eilish's tendency to get extraordinarily breathy, especially near the top of her range, it's hard to deny the emotional power this lends to the performances; it is, ultimately, what makes her music so powerful and so honest and so raw. This is thoughtful, boundary-pushing pop-adjacent music that is written, and that ultimately succeeds, on its own unique terms.
