better than bride, but i have objections submitted by jlopez2 on July 13, 2024, 5:40pm I am an Ali Hazelwood fan, and I appreciated this one more than her other 2024 release, Bride. Not in Love is not a romcom, as the author explains in the introduction, and has more *spice* than her other books. Despite that, there is a solid plot with some character development. The main guy is too pushy, which doesn't float my boat. But Rue, the main character, is pretty solidly different than most Ali Hazelwood heroines, which I appreciated. I like that this author is willing to try new genres.

Enjoyed this one submitted by laurenalysse on June 22, 2025, 5:26pm I really enjoyed this one from Ali hazelwood. I enjoyed Eli and Rue as characters and their chemistry was believable. I appreciated that it wasn’t really a rom com but instead had a good amount of spice and a maybe more unconventional plot. The audiobook in particular was great!
