COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Duel of the Fates submitted by Spidon on July 1, 2012, 4:46pm While we were all disappointed by the movie itself, John Williams stayed true to form and gave us a great soundtrack, especially the new Duel of the Fates score.

Very nice submitted by zmclaugh on August 1, 2018, 5:33pm Great music on this one, especially Duel of the Fates.

Very good submitted by pepemama on July 20, 2019, 9:36am Star Wars music is great

Great Accompaniments to the Saga submitted by Meginator on August 21, 2021, 9:15am Something about John Williams’s Star Wars scores (beyond the famous introductory fanfare) seems to immediately identify them as belonging to that galaxy far, far away, and his compositions for the prequel trilogy follow the same form. Heavy on repeated brass fanfares and tempered with sweeping melodies in the strings, this music quintessentially feels like Star Wars. True to form, Williams telegraphs the film’s action in the music, and this album is a good way to re-experience many of the pivotal events of the first film without watching it again. “Duel of the Fates” is an incredible standout, capturing all of the composer’s strengths and creating dramatic tension in repetition; it stands quite well on its own and is unquestionably the highlight here. This score is worth a listen even if the film itself tends to disappoint.
