Keanu, bless him, could not have pulled off an original John Constantine, so they changed it (and I actually like the movie, but it's no Hellblazer). Angry, British, a complete bastard, former member of a punk band and mental institution resident, Constantine travels through life, probably doing more good than harm, but not if you actually meet him. Not a huge fan of the more recent runs, the years up to and including Ennis are fantastic dark reads. Don't go looking for happy endings for anyone.....
