Not Your Average submitted by annecox on July 18, 2011, 10:21am Spring Awakening is not your average Broadway show. The music, while a-typical, is really cool. There are some beautiful tunes on this disc. The ensemble has a very blended sound. Harmonies and interactions between singers work very well.

Perfect and Broken submitted by pkooger on February 13, 2012, 1:41pm I saw Spring Awakening for the first time last week, and it blew me away. This music will be in my head for weeks. My favorite song is the medley, Don't Do Sadness/Blue Wind. It brings a tear to my eye every time.

Rock Musical submitted by Meginator on July 31, 2017, 12:37pm Spring Awakening is an interesting musical that incorporates a lot of elements of alternative rock. I am unfamiliar with all but the bare bones of the story and found it a bit hard to follow just by listening to the soundtrack, but the songs are all good, they work well together, and the performers are excellent. I'd be interested in listening to this again after having a better idea of how the songs fit into a larger context.
