Jane Eyre submitted by kathscot on June 29, 2014, 2:24pm This version has 2 discs which gives the time to include more of the story than shorter versions. Relatively faithful retelling, and I love Pam Ferris as Grace Poole. Nice scenery, too.
The best one out there submitted by howarde on August 3, 2017, 7:01pm I've watched a lot of film adaptations of Jane Eyre. They range from abysmal to excellent, and this is on the excellent side of the spectrum. I wish they had spent about 10 more minutes on Jane's childhood, but aside from that, this is pretty perfect. They do take a few liberties with the details of the story, but nothing that messes up the plot or characterizations.
Perfect submitted by zmclaugh on July 27, 2018, 9:20pm Hands down my favorite adaptation of the novel.
It's ok submitted by majean on August 9, 2018, 5:43pm I know many people who swoon over this film. I just can't. Mr. Rochester is not a nice man.
Best Jane Eyre Adaptation submitted by bookasaurusray on July 27, 2022, 10:37am The most perfect book to film adaptation. I watch this ALL THE TIME. And I should mention this is my all time favorite book.
