In THE PLANETS, Bill Nye gets up close and personal with each of the solar system's planets and moons. Bill goes planet gazing and takes a serious look at Jupiter's features, Earth's elliptical orbit, and the distances between planets.

Awesome Science...and Comedy submitted by cherylo on July 16, 2011, 8:04pm I've been a fan of Bill Nye way before he became a Science Guy...check out an old show called Almost Live! sometime...but he did really good things for science education. Although the skits are sometimes a little dated (see an early mobile phone in one episode, for example), the science is solid and the comedy is real. I've been watching these with my entering-3rd grader who is also an enthusiastic fan. I highly recommend any Bill Nye the Science Guy episode.

Bill Nye makes science fun submitted by Ilyjtwya on June 28, 2012, 2:11pm When I was in school we watched episodes of Bill Nye occasionally, and it was always the highlight of my day. This information is a little dated now, since Pluto is no longer considered a planet, but that provides a good opportunity to discuss how science changes. I agre that any Bill Nye is a great show, and a good way for kids to learn about the subject in a fun way.

the show is a hit! submitted by Cory Michael on June 22, 2015, 12:01pm When I put on Bill Nye, the kids all sit down and watch. I remember watching him as a child and I learned so much! BILL, BILL, BILL, BILL! :)
