best submitted by michalowski529 on June 17, 2011, 8:56pm best book ever a must read

Amazing. submitted by miss pyro on June 29, 2011, 1:14pm This book is horrifying, amazing, wonderful, scary, violent and impossible to put down. Waiting for the third book in the trilogy is killer.

The Maze Runner submitted by leehannah on June 16, 2012, 8:26am This book was very interesting. It is definitely action packed and I couldn't put the book down, I had to keep reading! It has a very interesting plot that most books do not have. I really enjoyed it, because it was very different from all of the other books that I had read. I recommend this book to people who like scary books.

Interesting submitted by xjasx on June 17, 2012, 12:03am This seemed like an interesting book to read when I first picked it up, and I'm glad I did because it was a great book, kind of confusing at first but as I neared the end I anticipated what was going to happen after and after.

Great submitted by jmock on July 4, 2012, 12:13pm If it's by James Dashner, then you know it's good. A bit of violence, but it isn't Hunger Games level, which I find very appealing,

interesting submitted by Jenni on August 29, 2012, 7:19am good book... nice twist at the end

AWESOME submitted by blinkymal on April 3, 2013, 1:30pm This book was great!!! was completely different from any other book

Really good book submitted by hamzak13 on July 8, 2013, 10:19am this book was very interesting and was a good way to start a trilogy

4 Stars submitted by xiwang on May 16, 2014, 8:24pm This is book was in the okay to great level. It definitely had an original plot and had a perfect mix of action and suspense but the novel was dry overall. I would recommend this book for anyone looking for a lighter, action read.

Fantstic submitted by catherinek on June 18, 2014, 9:43am This book had many parts where it was heart breaking and the whole book was very action packed. Can't wait to read the next two books in the series!

awesome submitted by cat12310 on July 7, 2014, 3:57pm this book was so cool

Interesting submitted by katey on July 12, 2014, 7:15pm The book is a must read. When I was reading the book I couldn't put it down.

Maze Runner submitted by tbbrown76 on July 12, 2014, 8:45pm Good book. OK movie.

Interesting Idea submitted by Josie Brown on July 26, 2014, 9:56am The idea is what intrigued me. Sending young boys with no memory of their past into the harsh world of the maze. I immediately felt curious and wanted to read the book. I thought it executed the idea very well and it is what I call an "adrenaline read" because of all the exiciting action.

A New Idea submitted by Anissa on June 12, 2015, 8:22pm The book's plot is very intriguing, with many questions that make you want to read the book until you can figure out something. Only for it to end with only 1/7394$3483939373 questions answered. JK, but I highly recommend it!

Interesting submitted by Motomori on June 17, 2015, 11:24am I liked this book. It was interesting and fun to read.

BEST BOOK SERIES EVER! submitted by joeyre on June 27, 2015, 7:16pm James Dashner really spun a great series here, this is awesome, 5 OUT OF 5!

Maze Runner submitted by SBNB on July 3, 2015, 3:07pm Having seen the movie before reading the book, it was rather hard to get into with all the little changes. The movie world seemed more vibrant while the book world felt flatter. But it didn’t disappoint. It was a page turner, and the epilogue confirmed my suspicions.

Epic submitted by lopsop73 on July 8, 2015, 2:33pm You must read this!!!!!!!!! Intense!!!!!

Nice submitted by lec.dank on July 24, 2015, 9:57am An original book

Exciting submitted by BluTigr3 on June 24, 2016, 3:18pm Very exciting start to the series...:)

not my cup of tea submitted by camelsamba on July 17, 2016, 10:20pm I suspect I am just not the target audience for this book. It does include a rather thrilling dystopian adventure tale, and it's clear there is an audience that loves it (see: pretty much every other review on this page). It just wasn't my cup of tea, even though I have read other YA dystopian series.. This is the first time I've understood what reviewers mean when they write the world building is weak - there were so many inconsistencies and things that didn't make sense in this one. I have no desire to continue the series

Fascinating mystery, creative setting submitted by Susan4Pax -prev. sueij- on August 27, 2016, 4:30pm For those old enough to remember, this book struck me as a new setting of nearly the exact same story as William Sleator's _House of Stairs_, except that there is an outside threat and a puzzle to solve. The parallels to _Lord of the Flies_ will be obvious, as well.

But be that as it may, many of today's young people will not have read those, and so anything that gets (or keeps) them reading is good. And this is definitely good. It presents a fascinating mystery, a creatively interesting setting, and wonderful and realistic characters. The end wraps up this storyline but instantly throws the reader into the next dilemma, nearly requiring that the reader engage the next book (not my favorite tactic, though I understand it).

Great for its target audience.

Great book submitted by KOH on August 12, 2017, 12:41am A page-turner!

Good submitted by zmclaugh on July 30, 2018, 4:18pm This is a really good book, which is unfortunate, because the series goes downhill from here. That said, this book is still great--mysterious and with lots of action. I would recommend this, setting aside the rest of the series.
