COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Beetle Optometry submitted by c_zhang on June 17, 2019, 12:22pm This piece is strangely charming. I would hang it up in my room.

Beetle Optometry submitted by JY 2005 on June 20, 2019, 3:53pm This looks like something that could have come from a science journal.

Beetle Optometry submitted by i'm a blobfish on June 22, 2019, 4:54pm Really interesting the way the piece was set up like an eye chart. Also, there is great detail on each of the beetles. Maybe this will replace the old eye charts and become the modern eye chart!

Beetle Optometry submitted by Varshini on June 24, 2019, 1:00pm I like how this looks like a hierarchy of beetles.

Yuck! submitted by avrogers1 on July 23, 2019, 10:33pm This is a strange print, outside of science room, I don't see a use for this.

ok submitted by .-.-.-. on July 28, 2019, 10:12am Don't really understand, just different sizes of bugs. Wouldn't hang this up in an art classroom. 2/5 stars.

Diversity! submitted by FordAlpha on August 10, 2019, 10:23pm Beetles are one of the most diverse groups of living things! This clever print evokes their amazing range of form and function. The mannered poses and eye-chart arrangement are humorous and ironic, challenging the viewer to look closely and carefully at things that many (most?) people typically overlook or even actively avoid looking at.

Beetles! submitted by lmangus on June 20, 2020, 1:34pm Love this...an interesting take on what is normally a non-attention getter chart! If you find this is something you want to purchase/own for your home (or, as your return time approaches and are sad to part w/it), you can find it and other cool art at helengotlib.com.

Failed submitted by sara on June 24, 2020, 4:20pm I can't even name the first beetle, so I guess I fail the beetle eye test!

Beetle Optometry submitted by SBNB on June 23, 2022, 10:28pm Love it! Fun idea.
