Great title, great book submitted by rhhntr1245 on October 2, 2021, 2:42am *Spoiler Alert
The author does a great job of sharing her life as a member of one of Detroit’s dynasty. While I never cared for anything but Stroh’s ice cream, I did feel a loss, not just for the Stroh family but for Michigan as well, when the Stroh’s company went down. As a whole, I felt like Frances Stroh shared herself, her history and the Stroh’s legacy with the reader. She was candid and forthright. Insight minus sensationalism equals a pleasurable book to read.

A worthwhile read. submitted by bjl23 on February 16, 2023, 6:03am She’s a pretty good writer overall. The book is a compelling assessment of a family business and the challenges that led to ones demise. There are personalities in the book, and while some elements are unflattering, there’s an underpinning of truth in the way she writes.
