Iconic Restaurants of Ann Arbor submitted by avrogers1 on July 17, 2018, 11:57am This was a really neat read! I thought that it was awesome that someone actually took the time to research some of the great restaurants that have called Ann Arbor home in both the past and present. The best part is that some of them are still open and you can still visit them. for example, I noticed Zingerman's Delicatessen was featured in this book as well, and we had recently visited there to complete the Zingerman's badges. They had amazing food! I am curious now and may be checking out some of the other places in this book.
This book features lots of photos and great information on some of the most well-known restaurants from an Ann Arbor's history. It's well-researched, well written, and well composed. It's a great read whether you're looking into some of Ann Arbors cultural history or just looking to see what historic restaurants are still open.

Local history submitted by ssands on August 15, 2018, 2:31pm I enjoyed this short book about local restaurants. The author chose amusing stories, especially about the old defunct restaurants. There's lyrics from songs about the restaurants including some from prohibition when the college students were thinking of what to do with their time without alcohol. (Eat more candy!). This book is a fun way to bite off a small piece of local history.
