"Nightingale Books, nestled on the main street in an idyllic little village, is a dream come true for book lovers-- a cozy haven and welcoming getaway for the literary-minded locals. But owner Emilia Nightingale is struggling to keep the shop open after her beloved father's death, and the temptation to sell is getting stronger. The property developers are circling, yet Emilia's loyal customers have become like family, and she can't imagine breaking the promise she made to her father to keep the store alive."-- Provided by publisher.

COMMUNITY REVIEWS
Delightful submitted by smgop on June 20, 2019, 6:38pm This was a light read - loved the characters.
Cozy English Read submitted by sdunav on July 14, 2019, 10:35pm If you like stories set in small English villages, and have always dreamed of having a bookshop - then this book's for you. The romance is a little awkward, but the parts about losing a father (or a lover, or a friend) are beautiful. And unlike some "cozy" reads, this little novel has enough realism to keep the story grounded. Enjoyable without being overly literary and depressing.
Cute submitted by majean on August 5, 2020, 7:13pm A sweet story about love and the community that springs up around a small bookshop.
I agree with the other reviewers - light read, sweet story, great characters. submitted by jgetty on November 5, 2020, 9:22am Cute idea of a small town bookshop where interesting gentle characters intertwine to find relationships. It was fun, and not objectionable, a nice easy pleasant read.
