It is 1963, and the City of Detroit is bidding to host the Summer Olympic Games for the seventh time. It is the most ambitious bid ever, and they are certain they will finally triumph - but the city's white elite has neglected to persuade much of Black Detroit that America's most segregated city is ready and worthy to host an event dedicated to universal brotherhood.
