Join Lillian Li for a discussion about finding inspiration, outside-the-box research, and working with an editor.

Lillian Li is the author of the novel Number One Chinese Restaurant (Henry Holt), named a Must-Read by TIME, Buzzfeed, The Wall Street Journal, Star Tribune, Fast Company, The Village Voice, Toronto Star, Fortune magazine, InStyle, and O, The Oprah Magazine. Her work has been published in Guernica, Granta, Glimmer Train, Bon Appetit, and Jezebel. Originally from the D.C. metro area, she lives in Ann Arbor.

This event, held in partnership with Literati Bookstore, includes a book signing and books will be on sale.

Art Talks, in partnership with the Ann Arbor Art Center, is a series of professional development events for artists, designers, crafters and freelance creatives that are free and open to the public. Come to learn tips and tricks of the trade through talks by guest speakers and stick around after the Q & A to connect with other artists in the community.
