Description
Dr. Miranda Brown, a cultural historian with primary interests in Chinese culinary and medical recipes, gives an overview of the invention and development of bubble tea: the most famous export of Taiwanese food.
Dr. Brown is Professor of Asian Languages and Culture at The University of Michigan. She has published numerous articles and given talks on various aspects of Chinese medical, culinary, and cultural history.
This event is part of the 2019 Taiwan Festival Culinary series, organized by the Michigan Taiwanese American Organization.
