One thing you can say for baseball is that it mostly makes sense. It's a pretty easy game to follow, and most of us know the rules (infield fly rule aside, sorry about that Coach Colavito). But it wasn't always this way; in fact the earliest rules of baseball were pretty strange sometimes and we are probably better off without them. Let's take a look back at where baseball came from and how it got (or got rid of) some of its rules.

Too many choices for clue two! I've tried Massachusettes, New England, Philadelphia, New York, and round all followed by ball. No luck.
