One thing you can say for baseball is that it mostly makes sense. It's a pretty easy game to follow, and most of us know the rules (infield fly rule aside, sorry about that Coach Colavito). But it wasn't always this way; in fact the earliest rules of baseball were pretty strange sometimes and we are probably better off without them.
