Exploring Eberwhite

The City of Ann Arbor has a LOT of parks, so we've broken them up into convenient groups! For this badge, you'll be in the EBERWHITE area!

In order to get this BADGE, you'll have to visit some of the beautiful Eberwhite sites and find the main sign for each park! Your codes will all be based off the sign itself or the nearby surrounding area!

Some of these are neighborhood parks with little to no parking. Please be respectful of the neighbors of these parks, and PLEASE be safe and aware of traffic when seeking out these park signs! You've got all summer to find these, so no rush!

Below are the SPECTACULAR places this badge will lead you to with the links to the city pages for each park in alphabetical order, and here's a map to help you find each sign. Use this map to know EXACTLY where each sign is! Street addresses and google maps can be misleading! Plan your own route and be careful!

nvm

I struggled to find the sign/entrance/parking of the Lakewood Nature Area. My GPS led me down a dirt road with no public parking and then when I tried to find the entrance through the neighborhood I spent 20 mins driving around but with no luck.

So I went to the Eberwhite area, but there are three possible signs, and my mom thinks it's the first word in the paragraph, so I'm super confused!

I can’t figure out the Fritz Park code either. We definitely got the sign on Pauline. I can email you a picture with the kids to prove it!

We found the Fritz Park sign on Pauline but can’t figure out the code. We have tried several different possibilities but can’t figure it out. Could you send us the code?

Some people struggle with maps. If you use the map on this page, the pin will show you pretty much exactly where the right sign is. It's also something that is hard to describe in prose, as many players are directionally challenged. We're always happy to share codes when people are stuck. But it's pretty hard to get stuck if you use the map on this page! On many devices you can tap on the pin, then tap the little diamond arrow icon to get directions right to the sign. Hope that helps, thanks for playing!

Thanks, I like a challenge of the search, and your clarifier is helpful! PS These badges are fun. My wife and I rode our bikes to every park from our house one summer from May until September, clustering them in a similar way that AADL staff has. Thanks fo helping us relive that summer.

So now I have to eat my words. I also struggled to find the sign/entrance/parking of the Lakewood Nature Area. I went to the sign down from the intersection of Dolph and Central based on the pinpoint flag on the AADL map. There is a pile of freshly cut logs (large tree) next to sign. There was no special emblem from AAPS on the sign, back or front, or free standing. I also drove through the neighborhood and used GPS to Lakeview (dirt road) south off Liberty where there was no sign. Did something change? I feel badly asking for the answer now. Thank you for sending!

I was there this afternoon, and the sign has not changed. Corner of Dolph & Central; walk a few steps down asphalt path leading toward school to find entrance to nature area; look on left side of sign for the school district symbol. Right now it's kind of hidden by foliage so you have to walk up to it to get the details. (AAPS doesn't use this logo in their branding any more fwiw)

Just off of the street and onto the path, you can see the Lakewood elementary building further ahead. The sign is small and to the right of the path. Less than 100 feet from the road, I estimate.

I am unable to find the Fritz park code and also the waterworks park code. Could you emailme those. Thanks

I have looked at the photo of the Fritz park sign that AADL sent me. The sign is between 2 things that apparently I don't know the name for because I have tried fences and Posts, neither has worked.

come one Virginia park - i have done every possible combination for a simple code - including using counting OF as a word. Nothing works
