Champion Trees I

To find codes for the Champion Tree badges, you'll have to search the Ann Arbor Champion Tree Index. Each Champion Tree is numbered and given both a common and scientific name. The clues will correspond with a tree's number, its name, its location, or its Champion Tree statistics. As you search the map and database, give the number a click to read all of its stats including name, location, height, circumference, crown spread, and the ways it helps the environment.

Finding the right Champion Tree and opening its profile is the key to finding the game codes. A code may be published in the tree profile or it may be the answer to a question about the Champion Tree.

Nominate your very own Champion Tree this month! Click HERE for more information. All nominations must be submitted by July 31, 2020. There won’t be nominations again until 2022, so send in your form quick as lightning.

Ann Arbor's Champion Tree program identifies and catalogs the largest tree of each species within the city.  The program was created in 1995 to highlight and recognize these amazing trees and increase awareness for outstanding trees that help make Ann Arbor "Tree Town."

I think there is a problem w/code #3. I have tried every version of the tree's listed height and none work.

I'm still having trouble with the first one. I tried c********o*** and it didnt take. Did i interpret the clue wrong?

you can find the first code at the bottom of the info box of Tree #17 on the City's Champion Trees map. It says: Code: and then has a long string of letters that for some reason you cannot copy and paste. X( Sorry about this one all, we'll get it cleaned up early next week!

I had the same problem on my computer for clue #1 (also the same for clue #2). After a week of trying different things, it finally showed up by making the text size smaller and smaller and smaller (CTRL+-)until finally the last line showed up and I was able to see the word "code". Hope this will help you.

For 3rd clue why do we need to calculations? it says tree's height is code but when entered the no. numeric or spelled out its not working. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

I've fixed the third code, all. It should be exactly what you expect now, sorry for the mixup. However I am not sure what our partner's intent was with the fourth clue. For now, just enter the 3rd measurement of the champion tree formula. It's not height, and it's not circumference, its.....
Thanks for your patience as we sort this one out!

What exactly am I suppose to be looking for on the fourth clue? It doesn't say to look for anything specific about tree #31 for the code and there is no code that I see of on that tree.

What is going on with code #3. I have tried the listed height in inches and feet as well as the champion tree points. Am I doing something wrong?

The description of the first clue has the scientific name misspelled, in the last line. I tried to use it to copy the code, and it has an "i", not an "e" that it needs.

What are the last 2 characters in the first code, I tried exclamation points and ll's

Thanks for all of your help, I'm trying to figure out the last clue, I've entered all of the numbers I could find

Hello! You aren't looking for a number. And you aren't looking for its height or its circumference...but maybe the other one, the thing that starts with what royalty wear on their heads.

Hi! I have tried all the heights that it gives for tree #36 and none of them work. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

The site, for me, is hard to work with because it will not allow me to copy the code to be able to paste... and it’s long. :(
