Mitchell Migration

The City of Ann Arbor has a LOT of parks, so we've broken them up into convenient groups! For this badge, you'll be in the MITCHELL area!

In order to get this BADGE, you'll have to visit some of the beautiful Mitchell sites and find the main sign for each park! Your codes will all be based off the sign itself or the nearby surrounding area!

Some of these are neighborhood parks with little to no parking. Please be respectful of the neighbors of these parks, and PLEASE be safe and aware of traffic when seeking out these park signs! You've got all summer to find these, so no rush!

Below are the SPECTACULAR places this badge will lead you to with the links to the city pages for each park in alphabetical order, and here's a map to help you find each sign. Use this map to know EXACTLY where each sign is! Street addresses and google maps can be misleading! Plan your own route and be careful!

Pilgrim

Pittsview

Redwood

Scarlett Mitchell Nature Area  (entrance just west of Scarlett Middle School)

Southeast Area

Swift Run

Terhune Pioneer Memorial

Turnberry

Can't make it to these parks or has construction season foiled all your park exploring plans?? No worries! Contact us for a handy guide to get your CODES!

And I think the colors for the Turnberry Park sign are off. Good thing the clue helped me, since I saw grey and brown.

I thought the colors on the sign for Turnberry Park were like the dress that was on the Internet a few years ago, where different people looked at the same picture and saw different colors. For the Turnberry Park sign, I would have said it was gray and brown, but I was with my niece who thought it was two entirely other colors, and she turned out to be right.

And at Terhune Pioneer Memorial Park, there are 3 different ways to count the items, so if you get it wrong, try one of the other 2 possibilities.

Hello! I'm not able to travel to the Southeast area park. Could I please get the code for that? Thank you!

FYI There is a Scarlett Mitchell Nature Area sign without an animal that can be viewed from Platt Road, so what entrance are you talking about? Please clarify instruction/hint.

Hi. I went to the scarlet Mitchell nature area and found the sign. . I couldn’t find any animal on the sign though. Can you help me out with this code?

Cant get the scarlett woods code to work. Are there 5 letters in name as well as animal in general or a particular within species?

Hi @arr, there are 6 total WORDS in the name: five words and also the word that describes the animal in general (not a specific species). Hope that helps and if you need us to send you the code let us know!
