City-Managed Trees
The City of Ann Arbor is proud to care for tens of thousands of trees through our Forestry department. Forestry does incredible things including pruning, young tree maintenance (tree babysitting!), planting, champion trees and tree inventory. Our trees provide many environmental, economic and social benefits to the community, including reducing stormwater runoff, improving water and air quality, moderating summer temperatures, lowering utility costs, improving quality of life and beautifying the city. Learn more about the wonderful world of trees by completing this badge, brought to you by the City of Ann Arbor.
