Traverwood Branch closed Sunday 1/17 and Monday 1/18

by eli

Due to a positive COVID case among the Traverwood Staff, Traverwood Branch will be closed Sunday 1/17 and Monday 1/18. All pickups scheduled for those days will be canceled and a notice sent to reschedule. Anything already on the pickup shelves or waiting to be scheduled will stay right where it is through the closure. No items will be cleared from the pickup shelves until Saturday 1/23, and there is extra time to schedule your pickups as well.

Don't worry if you picked up items from the library recently—there was no exposure risk related to contactless pickups. The Traverwood drop box will remain open, but materials won't be checked in until after the closure.

Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns. Further closures at Traverwood may be necessary as a result; stay tuned to aadl.org for updates. Thank you for your patience, and take good care.

Thank you for this update. I'm sorry to hear a staff member has COVID and I wish them well. - Just to confirm, the library will still be open on Saturday the 16th for pickups, correct?

Correct, Traverwood will be open Saturday Noon - 8 PM for pickups. Only one of the three staff pods that are stationed at Traverwood is quarantined, that's why the closure is only Sunday and Monday at this point. Thanks for checking!

I would like to add my concern for and positive thoughts toward those who have become ill and those who care for them.

In addition, I wish to express my gratitude for the AADL staff who have done an incredible job during this difficult period. They are upbeat when I go for my contactless pickup, and brighten my day. Without all of you, this would be an extremely difficult time for me as you make possible a window on the world when I am stuck inside.
