Description

The 1920s began with the high of women getting the vote and ended with the low of a stock market collapse. In between, The Jazz Singer and Steamboat Willie premiered, John Scopes and Mae West went on trial, and the World Series was broadcast on the radio for the first time. And a “lost generation” enjoyed petting parties while taking a jorum of skee and hoping not to pull a Daniel Boone. Learn about some darb recipes from the 1920s with Lakehouse Bakery owner, Keegan Rodgers and hear about national and local history from historian/writer Patti Smith. Don’t be a wurp and come out and join us! No mazuma required--it’ll be berries!

This event is in partnership with The Lakehouse Bakery.

A vintage illustration of a pineapple and strawberry neopolitan cake (made with Jell-O!) is paired with a period advertisement for Jell-O. The woman in the advertisement is on the phone, requesting ALL SEVEN flavors of Jell-O. e

Yum!

This says the event is Weds 8/3/22 at 6:30pm, but the e-mail newsletter we got today says it is Thurs 8/25 at 6pm, and the monthly calendar does not show it then. Which is it (or is it both)?
