So this trip down RETRO lane focuses on MOBILE phones; we are NOT going to linger on car phones, which were the stopgap before they got carried around! Car phones were pretty rare if you weren’t really rich, and you usually only saw them in movies. But in the 1990s, phones could GO, and they changed everything!
