Teriyaki Sauce for Fish - Dorothy Pon

1/4 c. good soy sauce
4 T. dark brown sugar
1/4 c. water
1 clove garlic
1/3 c. sherry
3 T. onion, grated
1 inch piece ginger, sliced thinly
Marinate raw fillets of fish (coho salmon is great) in sauce. Drain, don't blot, and place fillets in shallow pan- no rack. Broil close to flame. strain and thicken sauce and pour over cooked fish.
